The position of GL Coding rules is important to an efficient and effective workflow. The intent of this article is to explain why the order of GL Coding rules matter.
Priority of GLC rules
Priority of rule execution is first to last. The analysis of each component charge is reviewed in sequential order (1, 2, etc.). When the rule is applied to that component charge, it is routed to the cost center specified (e.g. 300015629) for that rule.
Consequently, any subsequent rules are then not applied to the component charge. The key takeaway is that the position of the rules is important, especially for the fine-tuning. Rules can be dragged and dropped within your customer dashboard to assist with positioning.
