How to make your account secure

Have you made your Share a Refund account secure?

Take extra security precautions today to protect your account.

Share a Refund takes security seriously. The information below details the steps you can take to protect your account from being compromised.

Steps to secure your account

Step 1: Create a strong password

Don’t write your password down where it could be easily found, send it via email, or share it with anyone. Never use a weak password like “password1” when configuring your account. Share a Refund will never email a customer to ask for the password.

Step 2: Perform regular operating system and browser updates

Set up your computer to update automatically to limit attacks. If you receive a notice to update, make sure to address it immediately.

Step 3: Protect your account

Always go directly to https://app.sharearefund.com/login to enter your login credentials. Don’t follow links from untrusted sites or suspicious emails that prompt you to enter your login information.

Step 4: Never use your Share a Refund password on another website

If you enter your password on an external website and it’s compromised, someone could try to sign in to your Share a Refund account with the retrieved password.

Using a public computer?

Always sign out of your account when using a public computer. At the top of the page, click your account name and select Sign Out.
