If you have a damaged or missing contents complaint with FedEx, you must file your claim no later than 60 calendar days from the shipment date for packages within the U.S. and 21 calendar days from the shipment date for international packages.

For undelivered or lost shipments, claims must be filed within nine months of the shipment date. You can file a claim online, by mail or via fax.

Share A Refund lost and damaged claims management

Share A Refund files FedEx lost and damaged claims automatically once AutoFile is enabled in a customer’s account. With AutoFile enabled, the entire lost and damaged workflow is automated for the customer. The process takes 10 to 14 days and depends on the length of time required by the carrier to process an open claim. On average, the carriers need five to ten business days to process an open claim.
