What do I do with my FedEx packaging that’s reported as damaged?

If you received a damaged FedEx package or contents make sure to keep all original packaging, including cartons and contents, until the claim resolution process is completely finished. It may be necessary to have the packaging available for FedEx to inspect.

In some cases, a FedEx representative may want to check the legitimacy of the claim and verify that proper packaging was used to ship the package. FedEx has strict guidelines for its customers.

Inspecting the package doesn’t happen with every damaged claim, but it’s a best practice to keep the material until everything is resolved and no further documentation or proof is needed.
